Sd.Kfz. 251

HISTORY

The Iconic Sd.Kfz. 251 was the German half-track that was first introduced in World War II. Designed by Hanamog, this half-track was based off the Sd.Kfz. 11. The 251 was the most produced German half-track of World War II with 15,221 units produced.

The 251 was designed to carry 10 panzergrenadiers into the field with protection from small arms fire. A mount for either an mg32 or mg42 was included to add covering fire for soldiers to get to the position. The 251 had sloped armor to help protect from AP shells.
